Alliance Heath Rehabilitation Center, established on August 9, 2026:

① Buddhism is a form of cultural education that aims to help human society cultivate a spirit of mutual trust, respect, love, and mutual assistance.

② The simplest and most direct method is to teach people how to face their thoughts and behaviors in a way that aligns with healthy values, use positive energy, and choose a lifestyle that benefits both themselves and others.

③ A healthy and happy life requires learning to forgive yourself, writing down three things worth appreciating and being grateful for each day, cultivating the ability to be grateful, and developing the habit of being grateful for small things.

④ The true meaning of Buddhism lies in the fact that true liberation and great wisdom in life come from ceasing to struggle with oneself, no longer creating difficulties for oneself, and changing past unrealistic attachments, including wild thoughts, delusions, and discriminations.

Fable:

A couple was out of town shopping and needed to cross a fast-flowing river. On the riverbank, they encountered a young woman. Because she was wearing a long dress and her face was full of worry, and she was afraid of getting her clothes dirty in the deep water, she hesitated to cross. Seeing this, the kind husband stepped forward without hesitation and carried the woman across the river. The woman thanked him profusely and left satisfied.

After putting the woman down, the couple continued on their way. However, after walking for more than an hour, the wife became increasingly agitated and finally complained to her husband, "Did that woman really need you to carry her across the river? Don't you have any other motives? Did you even ask me if I minded?"

He calmly replied, "I put her down a long time ago. You've been walking for over an hour, why are you still thinking about her?"

Upon hearing this, the wife suddenly realized what was going on.

Carrying someone is a form of torment: the woman has long since left, but the wife continues to "carry" her in her heart, emotionally punishing herself with the woman's behavior. For example, she feels jealousy, resentment, pettiness, anxiety, and regret, repeatedly tormenting her inner self. What should have been a joyful and helpful act becomes a farcical scene of blame, potentially even leading to arguments and harm. This is because she refuses to let go of her ego, unconsciously bound by an obsession.

Life is short, and the real winner is the one who doesn't strive for victory: the true winner in life is not the one who defeats others, but the one who wins back their own happiness and peace.
